Your investment will go towards the approx. $500,000 needed to double the capacity from four to eight beds in Orange Base Hospital Special Care Nursery.
This expansion will reduce the need for newborn transfers to metropolitan hospitals, ease stress for high-risk mothers, and allow babies to complete their care closer to home.
The centralised foetal monitoring system will enable real-time foetal heart trace monitoring across the Southern NSW LHD, improving care for expectant mothers and babies. It will be used to centrally monitor and alert medical teams and midwives of any concerns regarding uterine activity and foetal heart rate patterns. Your investment will go towards the $275,000 needed to purchase the equipment.
